Happy 37th Birthday, Durk.

From his first birthday, to his last one, and every day in-between, Derek was the most unique man I have ever known.

He was special, tenderhearted, intelligent, witty, creative and truly a good person. Since he has been gone, I miss my brother with an ache I never knew to be possible.

Today, on what would have been his 37th birthday, I put together pictures to share with you all. I hope to make this site a place for us to post pictures and share Derek stories- as I know his community of friends is grieving from him just as deeply as our family and Derek's wife, Colleen.
